Business models in agriculture evolve with time, sometimes due to changes in the market and sometimes due to advent of technology, resulting in emer- gence of new exciting trends. We at Vast Dynamics closely track the start- up ecosystem from across the world and we have come across a whole lot of interesting new themes which are gaining popularity, one of them being Hydroponics. We are currently in the planning stage of setting up a Hydro- ponics Farm in Malaysia.

Our Hydroponics Farm will be a vertical farm, offering green vegetables and salads. The company will grow its plants in tall towers inside a climate-con- trolled facility with LED lights. The farm will not use pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, or GMOs. The system will use infrared cameras and sensors to collect data in the farms that are analysed using machine learning to optimize growth. The vertical farm will use 99 per cent less water than conventional fields.
